The Director General of Police claims that he had recently come to know that an officer named Pradeep Kumar, who was working in a highly sensitive regiment of the Indian Army, was allegedly in constant touch with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media.

He said that after this information, continuous monitoring of the said soldier was started through CID Intelligence, Jaipur.

During the surveillance, it was found out that Pradeep Kumar was in constant touch with a female agent through social media and was providing her with important military information.

According to police, the soldier was taken into custody on May 18 and is being questioned.

Police have also published photos of the arrested soldier and alleged spy along with his statement.

According to sources, during interrogation by various agencies at the Joint Investigation Center, Jaipur, the 24-year-old accused said that he was a resident of Krishna Nagar, Uttarakhand and had joined the Indian Army three years ago. After the training, the accused was posted as a gunner, after which the accused was transferred to a highly sensitive regiment in Jodhpur.

About six, seven months ago, a woman's call came on the accused's mobile, after which the two started talking to each other through WhatsApp, voice call and video call.

According to police, a woman named Chhadam identified herself as a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and stationed at MNS in Bangalore.

Police claim that the woman caught the accused in her trap and promised to come to Delhi and meet and get married.
