The Pakistan cricket selectors today announced the squad for the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, scheduled for June 8, 10 and 12 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. 

As the series will not be played in the BioSecure Bubble, the selectors have decided to reduce the 21-man squad for the home ODI series against Australia to 16 players and stay out of the squad for next month's matches. The selection of Asif Afridi, Asif Ali, Haider Ali and Usman Qadir has not been considered. Saud Shakeel is about to undergo sinusitis surgery.

Five changes have been made to the squad for the ODI series against the West Indies. Saud Shakeel, Asif Afridi, Haider Ali, Asif Ali and Usman Qadir have been dropped.

Saud Shakeel, who started his career in the ODI series against England last year, managed just three runs in an innings against Australia.

The selectors and team management have surprisingly maintained confidence in Iftikhar Ahmed, who failed miserably in the series against Australia and managed to score only ten runs in two innings, while in the only T20 he scored only thirteen runs. Were able to score.

He was included in the squad for the series against Australia but could not play a single match due to ineligibility. Apart from Shadab, Muhammad Nawaz has also returned to the team.

Babar Azam will continue to lead the team while Shadab Khan, who was ruled out of Australia's ODIs due to injury, has returned as vice-captain.

The squad will assemble for a training camp in Rawalpindi on June 1 and Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan, who are currently playing in the English County Championship, will join the squad for the practice session.

The squad includes three openers Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhr Zaman and Imamul Haq, three middle order batsmen Babar Azam, Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdal Shah, two wicket keepers / batsmen Muhammad Haris and Muhammad Rizwan, two spin all-rounders Muhammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan, Zahid. 

Mahmood is accompanied by fellow spinners and five fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Hassan Ali, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shahnawaz Dahani. Pakistan has selected three batsmen in the top 15 of the ICC Player Rankings. 

Captain Babar Azam is in the first position, Imam-ul-Haq is in the third position and Fakhr Zaman is in the 12th position. Among bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi is at 7th position in the rankings.
