At least 21 people, including 19 children, were killed in a shooting at a primary school in the US state of Texas on Tuesday.
According to the foreign news agency, the 18-year-old suspect entered an elementary school in Texas on Tuesday armed with a pistol and possibly a rifle and opened fire, killing 21 people, including 18 minors and a teacher.
There were also reports of 14 people, including 13 children, being injured in school shootings.
According to reports, Texas Governor Abbott says police have shot and killed a young man at the school, possibly named Salvador Ramos.
''The ages of the children killed in the second to fourth grades are said to be between seven and ten years.''
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott confirmed the incident, saying the man used a handgun and a rifle.
''The incident took place in Ovalde, Texas, during which an 18-year-old man opened fire at Rob Elementary School.''
Governor Greg Abbott said the suspect had been "killed" and that reports had surfaced that he had been killed by law enforcement officers who arrived on the scene.
Police have launched an investigation, instructing the public to stay away from the school.
