The Lahore High Court

The orders of the speaker cannot be challenged in the court. The proceedings of the Assembly cannot be referred to the Lahore High Court under Article 69. Chief Justice Amir Bhatti will hear the objections of the Lahore High Court Office today

The Lahore High Court Office has objected to the petition filed by Hamza Shahbaz for holding elections to the Chief Minister of Punjab.

According to details, the Lahore High Court has objected to the petition of PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz, in which it was said that the orders of the Speaker could not be challenged in the court. Chief Justice Amir Bhatti will hear the objections of the Lahore High Court office today.

It may be recalled that the Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz had filed a constitutional petition in this regard in the Lahore High Court in which the Speaker, Deputy Speaker and IG Punjab were made parties.

It is vacant that elections should be held as soon as possible. Secretary Assembly and administrative officers are obeying the illegal orders of Pervez Elahi and the Punjab Assembly is being delayed without any reason.

The petition filed by the Chief Ministerial candidate of the opposition parties took the position that the session of the Assembly could not be adjourned under Article 130 of the Constitution till the election of the Chief Minister. The court should issue an order soon and make the election possible.

It may be recalled that Chief Justice of Pakistan Omar Ata Bandial had directed to take the matter of political crisis in Punjab to the High Court. So the Advocate General Punjab told the court that all the MPAs in a private hotel made Hamza Shahbaz the Chief Minister last night.

''The former governor will take oath from Hamza Shahbaz in Bagh Jinnah today.Hamza Shahbaz has also called a meeting of bureaucrats today.'' The constitution is a trivial matter for them.

On this occasion, Chief Justice of Pakistan Omar Ata Bandial warned him not to speak, we do not want to get involved in the problems of Punjab, so we will not give any order regarding Punjab, take the matter of Punjab to the High Court.

During the hearing, Justice Mazhar Alam said that the doors of the Punjab Assembly were sealed yesterday. Can the Assembly be sealed like this? The Chief Justice, in his remarks, said that he did not want to divert attention from the case of the National Assembly and at the same time removed ''Azam Nazir Tarar and Advocate General Punjab from the rostrum.''
