Why did Imran Khan have to delete his tweet?
Imran Khan wrote a text attributed to Mirza Ghalib in his tweet
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has deleted a tweet criticizing his rivals on the current political situation.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan is very active on social media, he uses the Twitter platform to criticize the country's situation and political rivals.
Imran Khan had shared a picture in his tweet with a text attributed to famous Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib.
In the photo shared by the former prime minister, it was written that 'I did not know that there is so much in the house for sale, everything from land to conscience is being sold'.
Imran Khan used the hashtag of Black Mailer League with the picture and said that when nations forget their ideals and goals of survival, they become victims of degradation, Mirza Ghalib said this at that time. When we were enslaved by the British, these words of his are being proved by the actions of the government imported from the American conspiracy.
When this picture was shared from Chairman PTI's Twitter account, people humorously pointed out that these words are not Mirza Ghalib's but a dialogue of a TV drama based on the poet's life in India.
This drama was aired in 1988 on the state TV of India and its dialogues were written by the famous Urdu poet Gulzar.
The tweet has now been deleted after being pointed out by people on social media.
This is not the first time that Imran Khan has attributed a statement or poem to another person, earlier he had attributed the words of Rabindranath Tagore to Khalil Gibran.
Apart from this, he attributed a poem to Allama Iqbal which was actually written by another poet.
