The School Education Department Punjab has directed the school heads to open government educational institutions from August 1 and requested the parents to send their children to school from August 1 so that the syllabus can be completed on time.
According to the Education Department, next year the new academic session in the province will be started from April 1, 2023. The education department of Punjab announced summer vacation in schools from June 1 to July 31.
While there were rumors of an extension of two more weeks in the holidays. But the education department has announced not to extend the holidays and has directed the school heads to open the schools from August 1.
There are few days left in the holidays. According to the Department of Education, the classes of the next academic session in all schools will be started regularly from August 1. Principal Crescent Model Higher Secondary School Mian Muhammad Saeed said that the next session will be for 8 months from August 1 to March.
On the other hand, Punjab University has summer vacations. In addition, the holidays were extended till August 15. Earlier, the holidays were till July 29.
The Punjab University had announced the summer vacation two months ago, which was to continue till July 29, but the Punjab University has extended the summer vacation. According to the notification issued by the Registrar's Office, the vacation has been extended till August 15.
