National cricket team defeats Sri Lanka women's team by 8 wickets to gain two points in ICC Rankings Championship

The national women's cricket team won the first match of the one-day international series against Sri Lanka by 8 wickets and gained 2 points in the ICC Ranking Championship.

 In the match, Pakistan achieved an easy target of 170 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the 41st over.

Opener Muneeba Ali was out for 14 off 25 runs. Captain Bismillah Maroof and Umar Sadra shared 143 runs for the second wicket in pursuit of the target to take their team close to victory. 

Sidra Amin returned on the first ball of the 41st over. The pavilion was looted. She scored 76 off 118 balls with the help of 7 fours. National Women's Captain Bismillah Maroof, who showed excellent form, scored an unbeaten 62 off 101 balls, including 4 fours.

The visitors' bowlers Achni Kola Surya and Oshadi Rana San Singh took one wicket each. After losing all three matches of the Women's T20 International Series at South End Club Ground, DHA, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first for the fourth time in a row. Appeared and piled up 169 runs in the 47th over.

Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Beatrice Koisha Dilhari played an unbeaten 49 off 50 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six. 

Prasadini Verak Kode scored 30, captain Chamari Atapo 25 and Nalakshi 16 runs. Hasini Perera and Hansimaka Ratnayake scored 12 and 12 while Anuka Rana Vera scored 10. 

Fast bowler Fatima Sana made 24 and slow left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal made 2.2, Diana Baig and Nida Dar could not get any wicket.
