Senators' opinion on Pervez Musharraf's repatriation
The majority avoided any objection to his return
The return of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was debated in the Senate in which a majority of members avoided any objection to his return.
The issue of former President Pervez Musharraf's illness and repatriation from Dubai was discussed in the Senate session.
Opposition leader in the Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani said that we are not going to make decisions regarding Pervez Musharraf because when Pervez Musharraf went out, no one could stop him.
He said that when Pervez Musharraf was president I was in jail but later he came on the floor of the house and said that I have forgiven Pervez Musharraf.
He also said that of course Pervez Musharraf should return to Pakistan because this is his home but everyone should be treated equally.
Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also gone abroad for treatment from Pakistan.
He said that at present the condition of Pervez Musharraf is not good at all and if he is not brought to Pakistan then we should not create any problem.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri also said that in the case of MRD, during the tenure of Pervez Musharraf, I had spent one year imprisonment with difficulty.
Senator Ejaz Chaudhry said in this regard that I am not against the repatriation of Pervez Musharraf, but Pakistan is not a pasture to come and leave when the heart.
He said that law should take its course and there should be uniform law for every person, this country will develop only when there will be uniform law for all because lawlessness cannot move forward with Pakistan.
PTI Senator Faisal Javed said that there is a separate law for the strong and a separate law for the weak.
