Karachi super store fire incident, important revelations came to light

Karachi super store fire incident,

The fire started due to a short circuit. Cooking was expensive and was stored in the basement due to which the fire spread more. The fire reached the parking area of the building. Assistant Commissioner Ferozabad Aasma Batool spoke to the media.

Assistant Commissioner Ferozabad Aasma Batool explained the cause of the fire in the super store.

Talking to media in Karachi, she said that the fire started due to short circuit and the first report of fire was received at 10:40 am. Cooking oil was stored in the basement when it was expensive, so the fire is more widespread due to coking oil.

The fire is still raging in different parts but the intensity is low. According to Asma Batool, the fire has reached the parking area of the building where vehicles and motorcycles are present while three motorcycles in the building have been burnt.

It is believed that the Sindh Building Control Authority had declared the building temporarily damaged yesterday.

Senior Fire Officer Arif Mansoori said that efforts were being made to extinguish the fire in the basement of the super store from different places.

However, there were fire extinguishing arrangements in the super store and there was no emergency exit route. Due to the lack of a road, there were difficulties in extinguishing the fire.

Due to the continuous fire, cracks have also started appearing in the walls of the affected building.

Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Ishaq Khorro visited the department store near Jail Chowrangi Flyover last night and said that the building has been declared temporarily damaged.

Too much has caused the pillars and structure of the building to be badly damaged and the building is currently uninhabitable.

He said that after the fire was brought under control, the building would be re-inspected after which a final decision would be taken on the actual condition of the building.

The fire severely damaged important parts of the building. It may be recalled that a fire broke out in a super store on the first and ground floor of a 15-storey residential building at Jail Chowrangi yesterday, as a result of which one person was killed while goods worth millions of rupees were burnt to ashes. There was a fire in the basement which spread as soon as we saw it.
