Bill Gates and Pakistan set up a micro-semiconductor lab
The United States and other countries have long considered new units to reduce their dependence on Taiwan in the case of "micro semiconductors". The United States will set up factories in Pakistan in partnership with Chinese companies.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates and the Pakistani government have agreed to set up a lab to build a "micro-semiconductor" in Pakistan, according to a report by the American Broadcasting Corporation in which Chinese companies will also be partners.
According to the report, talks were underway between the Pakistani government and Bill Gates to build a Microsoft lab as well as a high-tech factory to make "Microsoft Semiconductor" and the visit of Microsoft founder is a link in the same chain.
It has been claimed that Bill Gates had earlier considered setting up a factory of "Micro Semiconductors" in India but for some reason he preferred Pakistan over India and negotiated to set up this factory in Pakistan. What started was final.
According to the report, the location of the "Micro Semiconductors" factory is yet to be determined, but it is thought that it will be set up somewhere near Karachi. Has proposed to build a complete IT city on the pattern of which work is expected to start soon. It is also being considered that this proposed city will be built near Karachi or Lahore.
Sources also said that talks have resumed with General Motors, the largest car company in the United States. General Motors had planned to set up a unit in the Indian state of Gujarat for its Middle East edition but the plan was postponed due to unknown reasons.
General Motors was losing hundreds of millions of dollars every year as Japan and other rival companies were providing cheaper vehicles than General Motors due to its proximity to the Middle East. Losses are incurred because car prices of General Motors are higher than those of car companies in Japan and other countries and the prices of vehicles also go up.
Meanwhile, a British magazine quoted its sources as saying that the United States and other countries have been considering new units for a long time by reducing their dependence on Taiwan in the case of "micro semiconductors".
And China is in talks with Islamabad to set up factories to make "micro semiconductors" in Pakistan. The magazine claims that Bill Gates' visit to Pakistan is a link in the same chain.
