Leading actor Naseeruddin Shah has said that those who are talking about genocide of Muslims actually want to start civil war in the country.

Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has said this in an interview with renowned journalist Karan Thapar for 'The Wire'. There is also a reaction on social media.

Even three years ago, Nasiruddin Shah had expressed concern over the growing religious hatred in the country, saying that the "poison had spread throughout the country and was unlikely to be brought under control any time soon." He also appealed to them not to be intimidated by the current environment but to speak out against it.

In a recent interview with Karan Thapar, Naseer-ud-Din Shah spoke in detail about the anti-Muslim rhetoric at a recent Dharma Sansad (religious gathering) in the Hindu holy city of Haridwar.

On statements on the genocide of Muslims in the Dharma Sansad held in Haridwar from December 17 to 19, Naseeruddin Shah said: 'If they know what they are talking about, I wonder. They are calling for a civil war. 200 million of us are not going to perish so easily. We will fight 200 million people.

"It is the motherland for our 200 million people. We are 200 million people here. We were born here. Our families and many generations have lived here and merged in the same soil. I am sure that if such a campaign is started, there will be strong resistance and people will get angry.

Naseeruddin Shah said that Muslims were being made second class citizens.

This is an attempt to create fear in Muslims but Muslims will not give up. Muslims will have to face this because we have to save our home, we have to save our motherland, we have to save our family, we have to save our children. I'm not talking about religion. Religion is easily endangered.

Naseer-ud-Din Shah said that "efforts are being made to marginalize Muslims at the highest level".

"It's a concerted effort to make Muslims feel insecure," he said. This is being done from above. Separatism has become a policy for the ruling party. I was curious to know what would happen to those who incited violence against Muslims. But the truth is that nothing happened. However, this is not surprising because nothing happened to him whose son had crushed the farmers.

Naseeruddin Shah said he was not surprised by the government's attitude. "It simply came to our notice then. It's disappointing, but it's more than we expected. But the way things are unfolding is worse than our fears. Our leader is silent on such provocations.

Naseeruddin Shah is known for his statements. Naseeruddin Shah had earlier spoken on the silence of Bollywood and criticized some filmmakers for promoting the ideology of the Establishment while the three Khans of Bollywood (Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh) He said in silence that he is silent because he is afraid of being harassed.

After a recent interview with Naseer-ud-Din Shah, a user named Sushoon Chaudhry made a similar statement and wrote, “Do Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and the like feel that their silence on Hindutva terrorism Can lead India to civil war? If not, they should at least listen to Naseeruddin Shah. He is no less than his height in Bollywood.

Earlier, Naseer-ud-Din Shah had criticized some Muslim sections of India for allegedly celebrating the return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan. He had said that these people were setting a dangerous precedent.

However, on social media, many people are seen as supporters of Naseeruddin Shah while some people are also criticizing him.

A user named Dr. Sundar shared a link to The Wire and wrote: 'We Indians should keep an eye on our move. Some wrong steps can cause irreparable damage to the country. Are our leaders guiding us in the right direction? '

A Twitter user named Sarkazam wrote sarcastically: Oh no ... A phrase like civil war has come out of the mouth of Muslim Naseer-ud-Din Shah. Now they will be arrested and the Hindu upper caste majority court will not allow them to be released on bail.

A user named Namita wrote that she saw Naseeruddin Shah's interview, felt his anger which was the spirit of not giving up without a fight. Before 2014, we only knew him as a brilliant actor / perfect personality. Where did we come from? '

In response, a user named Hermit Penn wrote, "That's right. Never thought about the religion of Naseeruddin Shah or Anupam Kher. Where did we come from? '

Similarly, a user accused Naseeruddin Shah of being silent when Hindus were being killed in Kashmir. It should be noted that Anupam Kher has been openly expressing his views on Hindu Pandits of Kashmir.

Appeal for self notice from Chief Justice

Similarly, a user named Dr. Shri Ram Apa wrote with this news appealing to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court: 'Better premature protection than treatment. Only the Supreme Court can stop a civil war through self notice. Proponents of Modi / RSS and the right wing are spreading sectarianism in the country. The people are in danger.

Earlier this week, several Indian Supreme Court lawyers wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of India urging him to take suo motu notice of the Dharma Sansad held in Haridwar. Apart from Haridwar, the lawyers have also appealed to take suo motu notice against the program held in Delhi. Lawyers have said that the videos of these two programs are public and strict action should be taken against those who spread hatred in them.

A total of 76 people have signed the letter. The letter said it was not just a matter of speech but an open appeal to kill members of a community. The letter said that this not only threatens the unity and integrity of the country but also the lives of millions of Muslims.

In the letter, the lawyers said that no action has been taken against those who spread hatred in the past so immediate judicial intervention is needed now. Signatories to the letter include Dashinat Dove, Prashant Bhushan, Salman Khurshid, Raju Ram Chandran, PV Srinivasa Nath, Shalini Geera and Nain Tara Rai.
