Important meetings of PML-N leaders are underway for joint strategy of opposition parties. Khurshid Shah, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Shahid Akhtar Ali have called on PML-Q delegation. The opposition also requested the PML-Q to secede from the government and not to support the Electoral Reforms Bill, on which the PML-Q has refused to support the Electoral Reforms Bill.
Earlier, it was reported that the opposition had started consultations to bring a no-confidence motion against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani. In this regard, the opposition sources claimed that the government and its allies are in the minority in the Senate and their number is 42 while the opposition parties in the Senate have the support of more than 50 members.
In this regard, the sources further claimed that the opposition also has the support of 6 members of Dilawar Khan group in the Senate.
It is pertinent to mention here that last month, a no-confidence motion was filed against Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal, a member of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), by rebel members of his own party.
After gaining momentum, the then Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal resigned from his post a day before the no-confidence motion. However, now there are rumors circulating that the opposition is holding consultations to bring a no-confidence motion against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.
