Contrary to the federal government's austerity policy, the Punjab government has approved the purchase of 67 vehicles. According to details, the Punjab government has approved the purchase of 67 vehicles for the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Forests, in addition to which four hundred motorcycles will also be procured and it has been decided to fill 88 vacancies.
In this regard, Wildlife Secretary Shahid Zaman said that the Punjab government has also given approval for keeping and purchasing arms for the security guards engaged in monitoring and security.
He said that recruitment of vehicles, motorcycles and guards was demanded for monitoring the forest department and wildlife fisheries. After which the Punjab government has given approval to fill the vacancies in wildlife, forests and fisheries. On the other hand, the Secretary Wildlife has banned the sale of surplus animals.
It may be recalled that a statement issued by the Punjab Finance Department last month said that a summary of purchase of new cars has been sent to the provincial ministers. According to the finance department, new cars will be procured for 36 of the 37 cabinet ministers.
According to the text of the summary issued in this regard, 5 special assistants and 5 special assistants will also get new cars. It will cost more than 160 million rupees to buy new cars.
