In the match being played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Pakistan captain Babar Azam decided to bat first after winning the toss. No change was made in the national team. Pakistan scored 189 runs in the allotted 20 overs against the Scottish team.
For the national cricket team, openers Mohammad Rizwan 15, Mukhar Raman 8 and Mohammad Hafeez scored 37 runs off 19 balls. Captain Babar Azam batted responsibly and scored his fourth consecutive half century in a World Cup and scored 66 runs.
In the closing moments of the match, Shoaib Malik played an aggressive innings of 54 off 18 balls to take the score to 189.
Hamza Tahir, Saifan Sharif and Chris Graves took one wicket each for the Scottish team.
Earlier, national cricket team captain Babar Azam had decided to bat first after winning the toss and said that he wanted to win the match and get a top position in the points table, was satisfied with his performance in the tournament and would maintain the momentum of the team.
The national team has already qualified for the semi-finals after winning all four of its matches in the T20 World Cup, where they are expected to face either Australia or England.
