The Lahore High Court acquitted a man convicted of possessing explosives and links to al-Qaeda.


A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court headed by Chief Justice Amir Bhatti passed the order.


The court's verdict said that the differences in the statements of the two witnesses have raised suspicions.


According to the verdict, the maker of the FIR did not give the number of the grenade, so the bomb recovery is doubtful.


According to the verdict, the accused's lawyer argued that Yasir was picked up by unknown persons, the father filed a case in May 2015, a JIT was sought a report on May 20, 2015 formed on the matter . Made a false bomb case on Yasir to save you.


In this regard, the decision said that according to the report of the missing report by the father of the accused cannot be ignored, the JIT has no option but to file an inquiry with the police.


It may be recalled that Yasir Aurangzeb was arrested by CTD from Lari Ada, Lahore. According to the FIR, two of Yasir's associates, al-Qaeda commander Asad and Mubashir Lari, had fled the base.


Yasir Aurangzeb was sentenced by an anti-terrorism court in November 2015 to 28 years.
