Discover gas and crude oil reserves
Gas and crude oil reserves have been discovered in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to a statement issued by the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), deposits were discovered at Lakhi Marwat in Lakki Marwat at Wali Kunwan No. 1.
The statement said the discovery would yield 13.6 million cubic feet of gas per day and 1,010 barrels of crude oil per day.
According to the announcement, excavation of Wali Well No. 1 was started on December 2, 2019 while OGDCL owns 100% working interest in the exploration block.
