PCB announces date for National T20 Cup
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the date for holding the National T20 Cup.
According to a statement issued by the PCB, the National T20 Cup will start on September 23, with national stars appearing in the event.
According to the PCB, the tournament will help national players prepare for the T20 World Cup. The first phase of the National T20 Cup will be held in Rawalpindi. The event will run from September 23 to October 13.
The first phase will run from September 23 to October 3 in Rawalpindi, the second phase will start from October 6 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
According to the announcement, national cricket team captain Babar Azam will lead Central Punjab, vice-captain Shadab Khan Northern will lead the national team, Imam-ul-Haq will lead Balochistan and Sarfraz Ahmed Sindh, besides Muhammad Rizwan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sohaib Maqsood. He will lead Southern Punjab.
Chairman PCB Rameez Raja said that after the conclusion of the New Zealand series, this event is providing an opportunity to the players to showcase their talents. The participation of the best players will increase the importance of the tournament.
