KARACHI: NADRA has introduced "Contactless Biometric Verification" facility for the banking industry using the latest technology in obtaining and verifying fingerprints through mobile cameras in identity cards. ۔
According to the spokesperson of NADRA, thanks to this new technology, fingerprints of consumers sitting at home can be obtained and verified through a smart mobile phone camera in the banking system. It is the beginning of a new revolutionary era in which the concept of "Branchless Banking" was first introduced and now thanks to this technology it is moving towards "Contactless Banking".
Thanks to this facility, bank customers will no longer have to go to the bank for biometric verification. Thanks to the launch of this state-of-the-art facility by NADRA, Pakistan has become the first country in the world to use this state-of-the-art technology. The Hemas facility, which is also available to the general public at the national level, was launched on the occasion of Governor SBP Baqir Raza's visit to NADRA headquarters in Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik said that this facility is also an attempt to create an environment in Pakistan based on the latest system of identity and Prime Minister Imran Khan's vision of "Digital Pakistan". You will be able to open a bank account using your mobile phone camera.
