Metro case: Shahbaz Sharif decides not to appear before NAB today
LAHORE: Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif has decided not to appear before the NAB in the Metro case today.
According to party sources, Shahbaz Sharif will write a reply letter to NAB Rawalpindi and his lawyer Ata Tarar will appear before NAB and get a new date and request a questionnaire from NAB officials.
Ata Tarar will submit a reply on behalf of Shahbaz Sharif to the NAB and will give a briefing on Shahbaz Sharif's absence and answers.
Shahbaz Sharif was summoned by NAB in Metro case today. NAB is investigating alleged irregularities in the horticulture contract in the Metro Bus Rawalpindi-Islamabad project.
According to NAB, Shahbaz Sharif got the contract of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro project to Ahsan Iqbal's brother. NAB has sought details of contracts awarded to Ahsan Iqbal's brother Mustafa Kamal's company.
