Flora Duffy, 33, from Bermuda, won a gold medal in the women's triathlon at the Tokyo Olympics.


 Flora Duffy completed the required distance in one hour, 55 minutes and a few seconds.

Bermuda has won its first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, the first gold medal in the history of the Olympics, making it the smallest country in the world to win Olympic gold.


Bermuda has a population of about 62,000. Earlier,'' boxer Clarence Hill won a bronze medal in the men's 81kg heavyweight division at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.''


Apart from Bermuda, the Philippines also won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics yesterday, its first gold medal in Olympic history.
