The allies of the federal government have filed an application in the Supreme Court to become a party in the ruling case of Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assembly Dost Mohammad Mazari regarding the election of the Chief Minister of Punjab Province.
According to the details, the People's Party has submitted an application to the Supreme Court to become a party to the petition of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, in which it has been requested that the position of the members of the People's Party present in the Punjab Assembly should be heard.
Similarly, JUIF has also filed an application to become a party in the Supreme Court, in the application filed by Advocate Senator Kamran Murtaza, it has been requested that this is a very important matter, so our position should be heard.
It should be noted that in the case of the ruling of the Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assembly on the issue of the election of the Punjab Chief Minister, the government coalition decided to file a petition for a full court hearing yesterday. The decision was taken in the meeting of the parties involved in the government coalition.
It was informed that the leadership of Muslim League (N), PPP, JUI (F) will go to the Supreme Court and requested to make a full court in the petition filed on this matter and to hear the relevant applications including the Supreme Court bar. If it goes, other allies including MQM, ANP, BNP and BAP in the government coalition will also become applicants.
On the other hand, 5 former presidents of the Supreme Court Bar Association from the Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandial have jointly demanded that the full court hears the petition for the interpretation of Article 63 A and the review of the election of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
A joint statement has been issued by Muhammad Yasin Azad, Fazl Haq Abbasi, Kamran Murtaza and Syed Qulb Hasan, demanding that the full court hear the petition for review of the interpretation of Article 63A and election of the Chief Minister of Punjab . The revision petition should be sent to the full court and the most important constitutional cases should be decided together after hearing all the parties.
