Rhetoric on nuclear program should be avoided: Pakistan Army
Pakistan Armed Forces Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Nadeem Raza has said that like all other nuclear-capable countries, unnecessary and baseless comments on Pakistan's 'strategic program' should be avoided and if necessary the National The Command Authority is the right forum to comment and respond to this important issue.
General Nadeem Raza, chairman of the committee comprising the heads of Pakistan's three armed forces, made the remarks while addressing a seminar at the National University of Science and Technology's Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS).
The seminar on the situation in the region and security requirements was attended by experts from different parts of the country and people associated with the teaching profession.
Speaking on the security situation in the region, Chairman JCSC, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Command and Control Authority, highlighted the importance of Pakistan's nuclear capability and defense of the motherland as a guarantor of 'deterrence'.
Chairman JCSC said that Pakistan's nuclear program has the support of all political parties of the country and the entire nation. He has the National Command Authority (NCA) with all its political and military leadership standing firmly behind the 'strategic program'.
He emphasized that national security was indivisible and assured that Pakistan would not compromise on its nuclear program under any circumstances.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff said that Pakistan's national defense and security structure meets all international obligations and is capable of meeting any situation.
