Directs farmers to ensure uninterrupted supply of diesel to run agricultural machinery, complete load shedding from May 1.

Giving a big gift of Eid-ul-Fitr to the people, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed to end all load shedding in the country from May 1 by eliminating all the problems by April 30, while identifying the culprits of artificial shortage of diesel and cracking down on them. 

Has also directed. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office Media Wing on Tuesday, a high-level emergency meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on announced and unannounced load shedding in the country.

The meeting was informed during the briefing that 20 out of 27 power plants which had been shut down for more than a year were made operational following the implementation of Shahbaz Sharif Speed. 

The resumption of 20 power plants has increased the power generation. The previous government did not buy fuel for the power plants in four years. Tax load shedding is also being prevented.

The Prime Minister was informed that the total power generation in the country is about 18500 MW. ''Depending on the demand, the power shortfall is 500 to 2000 MW.'' 

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was briefed as soon as he took over the government that 27 power plants have been shut down due to lack of fuel or other technical glitches. Is.

The meeting was informed that other causes of load shedding include problems in fuel supply, timely repair and maintenance of power plants and criminal negligence. 

Prime Minister was also briefed explain about the loss-making feeders of the distribution companies.

The Prime Minister directed to rectify all the problems by April 30 and end load shedding from May 1. People cannot be bothered by load shedding in summer.

The Prime Minister directed that the formation of an integrated and permanent fuel system be planned in advance for the coming summer. 

Prime Minister called for a long-term effective plan to eliminate the deficit of loss-making feeders of the  power distribution companies.

Taking stern notice of the complaint of artificial shortage of diesel during harvest, the Prime Minister directed to identify the culprits and take immediate and stern action.

 Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed that uninterrupted supply of diesel should be ensured to the farmers for running agricultural machinery, district administration in rural areas should ensure that farmers do not face any difficulty in obtaining diesel. 

The meeting was attended by Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Information Maryam Aurangzeb and Relevant Senior Officials.
