Former Chief Justice's position has also come to the fore when Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed as caretaker Prime Minister.
According to private channel, former Chief Justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed Khan has said that Was not contacted. If there is a formal offer, I will answer thoughtfully.
I have not made a final decision yet but if I get the responsibility then I have to do it. I will try to take steps for the betterment of the system.
After the PTI nominated former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed as caretaker Prime Minister, former Attorney General of Pakistan Ashtar Osaf responded to the issue.
According to Private channel, former Attorney General Ashtar Osaf said that it was not possible to make Justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed caretaker Prime Minister under the law. Former Chief Justice cannot take office of profit for 2 years after retirement. Even if caretaker Prime Minister is not paid, the law will still apply.
In this regard, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the two-year ban does not apply to the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister. It may be recalled that on Monday, former Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry confirmed the nomination of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed for the post of caretaker Prime Minister.
In response to the letter, after consultation and approval from the PTI Corps Committee, Prime Minister Imran Khan has nominated former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed for the post of caretaker Prime Minister.
