Arifa Siddiqui returns with her husband after 22 years
Arifa Siddiqui had a special place in the Pakistani showbiz industry in the past. Apart from acting in several PTV dramas, she was also much loved for her singing.
Arifa Siddiqui, who quit showbiz in 2000 after PTV's anti-narcotics drama 'Inkar', has released a song with her second husband, musician and singer Tabeer Ali, who is 25 years younger than her.
Arifa Siddiqui, who started her career at a young age before the nineties, proved to be an all-rounder. Apart from singing and acting, she also worked on the radio and continued modeling. She married Nazar Hussain and started living a domestic life.
Before the death of Ustad Nazar Hussain in January 2018, Arifah remained with him till the end, and later he got married to one of his students Tabeer Ali who is 25 years younger than Arifah.
Apart from Arifa, who has been singing for a long time, her husband's interpretation can also be heard in the song "Kuch Bhi Nahi". Both of them have also acted in the music video.
The lyrics of this song have been chosen from the words of famous poet John Elia who is the favorite poet of Arifah and her husband.
Arifa Siddiqui says that despite her distance from showbiz, her relationship with music was still intact. Her late husband Nazar Hussain was an academy in his own right from which he also got to learn something.
Asked about saying goodbye to showbiz, Arifa Siddiqui said that at that time private TV channels were started in Pakistan which affected the quality to a great extent.
Arifa Siddiqui's mother actress Talat Siddiqui was also a well known name in PTV dramas who passed away in May 2021 last year. Arifah's cousin Fareeha Pervez also sings.
