According to media reports, the Supreme Court has issued notice to the Prime Minister in the case of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Notice has also been issued to Election Commission and NADRA.

It has been reported that the Supreme Court of Pakistan heard the appeal filed by PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq against re-election in NA-122, which was presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial.

During the hearing, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked that the term of 2013 National Assembly has come to an end.

On which Ayaz Sadiq's lawyer said that my client was fined which was appealed against because NADRA has been ordered to pay the expenses of record review.

On this occasion, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked that if your character has been tarnished by this case, then you should file a defamation suit. However, the Supreme Court later issued notices to PM Imran Khan, Election Commission of Pakistan and NADRA on the request of PML-N leader.

It may be recalled that in 2013, the Election Tribunal had declared the victory of PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in NA-122 constituency null and void.
