Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the industrial package
Announcing the industrial package, Prime Minister Imran Khan admitted that the package should have been given to the business community as soon as it came into power.
Addressing the ceremony of industrial package in Lahore, the Prime Minister said that the country could not develop without industrial production, therefore it was necessary to promote industries for development and stability.
Imran Khan said that the country will develop only when overseas Pakistanis will invest here, overseas Pakistanis will get 5 years tax exemption on investment in the country. Partner Pakistani industries will also get tax exemption.
"I have more experience dealing with overseas Pakistanis and I have an idea for their business community. We have set up courts for overseas Pakistanis," he said.
Imran Khan said that no country can move forward by selling vegetables and wheat so they are giving incentives to ths sector to increase IT exports.
Criticizing the previous governments, the Prime Minister said that previous governments had failed to fix the economy of the country, previous governments had never given importance to exports and when exports did not increase then the country would be in crisis.
Imran Khan said that if the government's policy against profit making comes then investment does not come and investment is like bees coming on honey.
"We decided from the beginning that we should focus on industrialization, but we should not have given open amnesty first. Unfortunately, our informal economy is huge," he said.
Imran Khan said that in the past, shortcut decisions were made instead of strong decisions. It was a big mistake not to focus on exports, but with our arrival, exports increased by 70% and it is still nothing.
The Prime Minister said that countries which change their policy for aid have no respect and a nation which does not respect itself is not respected by the world, we should learn from the mistakes of our past.
