According to the PCB, the remaining 30% of his contract is paid only 40 days after the completion of the Pakistan Super League 2022, which is yet to be reviewed according to his contract. Despite the money being transferred and received in his account, Faulkner insisted that a second duplicate payment of the same amount be made to his account in Australia.
This meant that Mr. Faulkner would have been paid twice. Faulkner made further threats and refused to participate in his team's match against Multan Sultans on Friday afternoon until their demands for money were met. The PCB spoke with Faulkner on Friday afternoon. During the conversation, despite his reprehensible and insulting behavior, ''Mr. Faulkner was assured that all his grievances would be addressed.''
He refused to reconsider his decision to take the field in a crucial match for his team, disappointed his team and demanded that their travel arrangements be made immediately. During this time, the PCB also kept in touch with its agent and apologized. Prior to his departure on Saturday morning, James Faulkner had deliberately damaged the hotel's property and had to pay damages to the hotel management.
The PCB later received reports and complaints from immigration officials that Faulkner had acted inappropriately and abusively at the airport.
