Noor Muqaddam's father, former diplomat Shaukat Muqaddam, has requested the court to sentence Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the murder of his daughter, to death. Judge Ata Rabbani recorded the statement of Noor's father Shaukat Muqaddam when the hearing of Noor Muqaddam murder case started in a district court of Islamabad on Saturday.
Shaukat Muqadam recorded his statement and said, "I have no personal enmity with anyone. My daughter has been unjustly killed. Apparently Jafar should be sentenced to death. Because it's not just my daughter, it's a question of other daughters of the nation. My daughter is like other Pakistani daughters.
It may be recalled that in July 2021, Noor Muqaddam's body was found in a house of F-Seven Four in Islamabad and the police had arrested the main accused Zahir Jaffer from the spot. Police charged 11 people in the case, which began in October 2021.

Zahir Jaffer's lawyers have pleaded in court that Zahir Jaffer has been suffering from medical problems in Adiala Jail for the last ten days, due to which he cannot walk, and he can stand. Therefore, it was not produced in the court on January 15 and meanwhile the statement of the plaintiff has been recorded in the absence of Zahir Jaffer.
The petition states that Zahir Jaffer is not being provided wheelchair by the jail staff nor is he being provided medical facilities. The petition asks the court to provide medical aid and facilities to Zahir Jaffer to the jail administration and submit his report to the court.
During this time Shaukat Muqaddam's statement was interrogated and he was asked questions related to his statement.
Shaukat Muqadam, in reply to a question, said that in the FIR, he did not enter the names and phone numbers of all the friends whom he had contacted before Noor's murder. Muhammad Saif said that the job of a financier is not to open the door.
Immediately after the conversation, Zahir Jaffer's lawyer Sikandar Zulqarnain's absence from the court, his fellow lawyers said that he could not come to court because of the corona virus.
Judge Ata Rabbani said that when the public prosecutor Shehryar is present in the court, you must ask two more questions.
There was further debate over whether the public prosecutor should be summoned to court despite being infected with the corona virus. However, lawyer Asad Jamal said that the interrogation would be held from a distance of six feet.
