Imran Khan to visit China from February 3 to 5, attend Winter Olympics opening ceremony

The Prime Minister's visit to China has been confirmed. He will attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. 

According to details, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmed while giving weekly media briefing on Thursday gave details regarding the schedule of Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to China. 

According to a Foreign Office spokesman, Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for Beijing on February 3-5 at the invitation of the Chinese leadership.

The Prime Minister will attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in China. During the visit, all issues including C-Pack will be discussed between Pakistan and China. 

He further added that the joint statement of the permanent members of the Security Council on the prevention of nuclear war and the arms race was commendable.

Reconciliation between the permanent members of the UN Security Council is a positive development.

He said that consensus could pave the way for concrete steps for global, regional strategic stability. As a responsible nuclear power, Pakistan supports the UN General Assembly's disarmament issues. Pakistan wants a peaceful and friendly neighborhood with India, there must be dialogue between Pakistan and India.

It is India's responsibility to provide a conducive environment for meaningful dialogue between the two countries. Foreign Office spokesman Asim Iftikhar Ahmed added that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had visited Romania and Spain. During this time, Memorandums of Understanding were signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan and Romania on cooperation and educational scholarships.
