Punjab youth to be given 2 years age limit for jobs and PMS exams: Punjab CM
The government has decided to increase the number of jobs from one lakh to one and a half lakh. Addressing the Chief Minister's Internship Program, Bazdar said that the number of jobs for the youth has been increased from one lakh to one and a half lakh.
Jobs on merit will be given to talented and educated youth. The youth of Punjab will be given a concession of 2 years in the age limit for employment. Candidates will also be given 2 years age discount in PMS exam.
Our government has the honor of giving the largest development budget of Rs.740 billion in the history of Punjab,he said.
A District Development Package of Rs. 360 billion has been provided to deliver the fruits of development at the grass root level.
''The government is fully committed to the welfare of the people. The Chief Minister will further expand the scope of the internship program.''
Awareness of modern techniques, communication models and research related to communication and media is essential. The Chief Minister's Internship Program aims to acquaint media graduates with modern media and communication requirements. The whole world appreciates the God-given talents of the youth of Pakistan, especially Punjab.
The training of DGPR will prove to be useful for the youth in practical life. Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that the Department of Information and Culture is playing its full role in the promotion and development of information, journalism and cultural values in Punjab. Media graduates trained by DGPR will step into practical life keeping in view the journalistic and ethical values.
''The Chief Minister's Internship is the first internship project of its kind in the history of Pakistan.'' Young media persons should not neglect objectivity in the performance of their duties. Presenting facts is the primary responsibility of a media person. He said that the graduates who have successfully completed the internship program under DGPR deserve congratulations.
Addressing the function, Punjab government spokesman Hassan Khawar said that Rs. 67 million has been allocated for the two-year Chief Minister's Internship Program. On the direction of Chief Minister Usman Bazdar, a monthly award of Rs. 20,000 is being given to Pring Media graduates. The Chief Minister's Internship Program will open the door to vocational training and employment for young people.
InformationSecretary Raja Jahangir Anwar said that 50% quota in Chief Minister's internship program is reserved for female students and 10% for working journalist children.
There were 7,000 candidates for the Chief Minister's Internship Program. Two students were selected from each district on merit. The function was attended by Provincial Minister Rai Timur Bhatti, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Director General Public Relations, Director Coordination DGPR, Director Public Relations Multan Division and concerned officials.
