According to rescue officials, the cold forest area is more slippery due to snowfall, which has caused traffic jams in the area.
In this situation, the rescue workers are busy clearing the traffic and evacuating the tourists to a safe place.
Regarding the number of tourists in Murree, it has been reported that from 5 am to 5 pm, 590 tourist vehicles entered Murree and 367 came out. At present, there are about 692 tourist vehicles in Murree.
It should be noted that an alert was issued regarding snowfall in Murree 3 days ago. The meteorological department and traffic department have advised tourists to be cautious as a new series of snowfall has started in Malaka Kohsar Murree. It was informed that tourists will be banned from entering Murree from 5 pm to 5 am.
Tourists who die are advised to be careful, keep air pressure in tires low and use chain on tires to avoid slipping during snowfall.
Chief Minister Usman Bazdar while issuing instructions to the administration, Rescue 1122 and PDMA said that arrangements should be made for immediate removal of snow from Murree and connecting roads.
Chief Minister Usman Bazdar further directed that tourists in Murree should not face any problem and ensure that no more than the required number of vehicles arrive in Murree.
