The singer said that she was born in Rawalpindi but when her father died when she was three years old, she moved to Lahore with her mother. She said that when she was in college, she started earning money by working on PTV and continued to provide financial support to her mother.
Hadiqa Kiani said that her brother was also interested in music like her and she released the first song with the help of her brother. The singer and actress said that although her brother was not narrow-minded, According to Hadiqa Kiani, she gained fame at an early age after 1990 and at that time singers like Ali Haider were superstars.
