According to details, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information Muhammad Ali Saif while briefing the media regarding the one year performance of BRT said that it has been 1 year and 4 months since the launch of BRT project, cheap, environment friendly and comfortable. Ten journeys are being provided to the public.

This year, zoo cards were distributed to 1 million citizens. The travel rate of women has increased from 2% to 20% due to BRT buses. Muhammad Ali Saif further said that the BRT Express route was also extended so that the citizens could get maximum benefit.

Two lakh twenty thousand people are traveling in these buses daily while 360 ​​modern bicycles are also benefiting the students.

It may be recalled that BRT Peshawar was recently recognized internationally as an honorary mention for the Sustainable Transport Award. The tweets from Minister of State Farrukh Habib and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's first transit project, Peshawar BRT, had won significant honors.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said in his tweet, “I would like to give special credit to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for their dedicated work which has made Peshawar BRT a mansion for the best sustainable transport award in the world.

The best facilities for the transportation of people Peshawar BRT has provided through a modern system. On the other hand, the Asian Development Bank, which provided funds for the project, has also commended the Peshawar BRT for achieving this important award. It should be noted that Peshawar BRT project was made operational in August last year. 

The provincial government claims that the services of Peshawar BRT are running successfully, soon the number of daily commuters on Peshawar BRT buses will reach 200,000.
