Funeral prayers of famous comedian Omar Sharif in Germany
Funeral prayers of world renowned comedian Omar Sharif were offered in Germany. His body will reach Pakistan on Tuesday.
Prominent Pakistani comedian, film, TV and theater actor Omar Sharif died in Germany on Saturday. He was being taken to the United States for treatment. However, during a short stay in Germany, his health deteriorated. He was taken to a German hospital.
Omar Sharif's funeral prayers were offered at Ayub Sultan Mosque in Nuremberg, Germany on Monday. Allama Ashraf Qadri led the funeral prayers. Consul General Zahid Hussain also attended the funeral prayers.
In his Twitter message, he said that arrangements for transporting the body of Omar Sharif to Pakistan would be completed by tomorrow.

Omar Sharif will be buried in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Cemetery in Karachi as per his last wish, for which the Sindh government has also started preparations while Mufti Taqi Usmani has accepted the request to offer funeral prayers.
