When will the seventh census take place in the country? Ministry of Planning statement came out
ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Planning has issued a statement regarding the seventh census in the country.
According to the Ministry of Planning, the seventh census of the country will be held from August 1 to August 31, 2022. It will cost Rs 23 billion. The Ministry of Finance has initially allocated Rs 5 billion. Will be provided at the beginning.
Replying to a question by Shahida Rahmani during Question Hour in the National Assembly on Wednesday, Parliamentary Secretary Kanwal Shozab said that the census would be the first digitized census which has been underway since May.
The National Assembly was informed that the government has started work on the seventh census and the Ministry of Planning has provided details in this regard.
''Final approval of the census will be subject to the approval of the Council of Common Interests''.
