Star batsman Babar Azam is just 121 runs away from breaking the record of world famous cricketer Chris Gayle. The captain of the national team has so far scored 6,879 runs in 184 innings in T20 cricket.
If Babar Azam manages to score 121 runs in the next 7 innings, he will become the first cricketer in the world to score the fastest 7,000 runs.
Earlier, West Indies' Chris Gayle had set a record for the fastest 7,000 runs in 192 innings.
Babar Azam is the only batsman in Asia to score the fastest 3,000, 4,000 and 6,000 runs, while the national cricketer also has the honor of scoring the fastest runs in the 1st and 2nd T20 International matches.
Babar Azam, who represents Karachi Kings in PSL, has played 53 Tests, 83 ODIs and 61 T20I matches for Pakistan.
