New Zealand Series: A bill of Rs. 27 lakh was sent to the PCB
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received a bill of Rs 2.7 million for food and security for non-New Zealand cricket matches in Rawalpindi.
The bill was sent by the Rawalpindi administration, which said that security personnel were on duty on the day of the match, they were fed palao and biryani.
According to the administration, when the Kiwi team came for practice, the route was paved and as long as the team stayed in the ground, the personnel were deployed.
The administration further said that personnel were deployed on the day of the match.
It may be recalled that during the tour of Pakistan on September 17, the New Zealand cricket team had announced the abrupt end of the tour of Pakistan citing security concerns, after which the series between the two teams was canceled.
The New Zealand team after 18 years came to Pakistan to play a series and before the arrival of the team, the New Zealand security team had also expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.
Between Pakistan and New Zealand Three ODIs were to be played in Rawalpindi and five T20 matches in Lahore.
