Twitter has removed the verification mark from Afghan government accounts
The social networking site Twitter has removed the blueprint from the accounts of several Afghan ministries.
Official social media accounts of several ministries have been used by the Taliban since the announcement of an interim government in Afghanistan.
These ministries include Foreign, Defense, Interior and Finance, while all of these accounts were verified (Blue Tick), but now Twitter has removed the verification mark from these accounts.
In addition, Twitter has removed the blue tick from the inactive account of the Afghan presidential palace since August 15.
However, there are still confirmations on the Twitter accounts of many former Afghan government figures and they have not been removed.
