Shahbaz Sharif's defamation suit: Court summons PM and opposition leader
The court summoned Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Leader of the Opposition on Shahbaz Sharif's defamation suit against the Prime Minister.
Shahbaz Sharif had taken a stand in the defamation suit that Imran Khan had made baseless allegations against Panamalix for offering money to remain silent. Imran Khan's allegation affected my reputation.
The Lahore Additional Sessions Judge issued the written order after hearing Shahbaz Sharif's defamation suit against Imran Khan.
The court order said that Imran Khan's lawyers withdrew the petition regarding the admissibility of the case while the court also disposed of all the miscellaneous petitions filed by Shahbaz Sharif.
The court said that short dates would be given for the case to reach a logical conclusion soon while Shahbaz Sharif and Imran Khan would appear with the lawyers on October 6.
Further proceedings in the case have been adjourned till October 6, according to the court order.
