Broadsheet demanded more money

The British firm Broadsheet, which received 30 million$ from Pakistan, demanded an additional 1.2 million pounds from the government of Pakistan and the NAB.

Broadsheet has asked the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the government of Pakistan for an additional 1.2 million pounds in legal fees and payments.

Pakistan has so far spent about ً65 million$ on the Broadsheet case and Broadsheet has now sought  11,13,261 pounds in legal fees and  61,497 pounds in payments from the NAB.

According to bank sources in London, Broadsheet has been paid 9,20,000 pounds on August 17.

Broadsheet's lawyers have sent a letter to NAB lawyers Allen & Avery in London, according to which the money was spent to get the real money from Pakistan, which the court has reviewed.

The letter said that the money would have to be paid to the NAB for the conduct and inactivity of itself and its lawyers. The NAB had not been able to satisfy the earlier arbitration award.

According to the lawyers' broadsheet, a lot of work had to be done to comply with the orders of the High Court.

The letter also blamed the NAB for the slow and unnecessary delays, while Broadsheet's lawyers' letter reached the NAB headquarters in Islamabad.

Broadsheet chief executive Kave Mousavi says action will be taken if the issue is not resolved amicably.
