We felt safe in every way during the tour of Pakistan: Sri Lankan cricketers
Sri Lankan cricketers also expressed regret over the cancellation of New Zealand's tour of Pakistan.
Sri Lankan cricket team all-rounder Angelo Perera recalled his visit to Pakistan two years ago in a statement released on Twitter.
"I visited Pakistan two years ago and enjoyed every single moment of it. Honestly, the team was very well placed and we considered ourselves safe in every way when we were there," he said. So we had no doubts, I really want to watch cricket in Pakistan.
Another Sri Lankan cricketer, Roshan Abhi Singh, said in his message that he was saddened to read about the cancellation of New Zealand's tour of Pakistan. He was part of the Sri Lankan cricket team when he last visited Pakistan. We will say that not only the people there are very good but also the security was very top class.Toured @TheRealPCB 2 years back and really enjoyed every minute of our stay!! Felt extremely welcomed and also safe tbh! Never had any doubt❤️ Genuinely wanna see cricket return to this great nation! @danushka_70 @dasunshanaka1 pic.twitter.com/ovjroZbXx9

Very sad to read about the cancellation of the NZ tour of Pakistan. Was part of the Sri Lanka tour last time and I must admit that besides the country being full of great people, the security was top class and attention paid to detail @TheRealPCB. Hope sanity prevails.
