Ahmed Masood hires lobbying group for US aid: report
Ahmed Masood, head of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRFA), has used a US lobbying group to gain US support, a US newspaper report claims.
According to the New York Times, Ahmed Masood hired the lobbying firm 'Robert Strike' to get American help, this lobbying firm works for free.
Sources close to Ahmed Masood told the American newspaper that his main goal was to prevent the Taliban from being recognized by the United States.
According to the report, a large number of lobbies have told the newspaper that the Taliban are also trying to do so to gain US support, but due to sanctions, it is not clear how the Taliban can succeed.
It may be recalled that even before this, Ahmed Masood in an article sent to an American newspaper had requested the United States to help in the fight against the Taliban.
Ahmed Masood was determined to stop the Taliban's occupation of Panjshir, Afghanistan's last stronghold, but in recent days the Taliban have also claimed control of Panjshir.
