Tokyo: Pakistan's Haider Ali won a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.


Haider Ali of Gujranwala won the gold medal in the discus throw in the mega event held in Tokyo, Haider Ali threw 55.26 meters in the fifth round while Mykola Zeb Naik of Ukraine won the silver and Texira de Souza of Brazil won the bronze medal.


Haider Ali's right leg is congenitally thinner and shorter than his left leg. He has won medals in long jump twice before. She won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
