Creating conveniences for Pakistanis abroad: PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan says that they are creating facilities for Pakistanis abroad. Overseas Pakistanis are our biggest asset. Roshan will be a game changer for overseas Pakistanis.
Addressing the Roshan Apna Ghar program in Islamabad on Friday, August 27, Prime Minister Imran Khan said, "I especially pay tribute to SBP Governor Raza Baqir." Unfortunately, like other assets of Pakistan, overseas Pakistanis were not used as they should have been, the least benefited from them, only remittances, they have to do it for their families anyway.
Talking about Roshan Apna Ghar project, Imran Khan said that Roshan Apna Ghar is a project that overseas Pakistanis will know that it is a transparent project. Banks are guaranteeing this project and they will know that there is a guarantee behind this plot and there is no fear. I think this project is a game changer, which can bring a lot of money to Pakistan because Pakistan is in dire need of dollars.
He said that people who go out to work always try to build a house in Pakistan, for which they have big problems and the biggest problem is the occupation groups sitting here. The elders told me, we worked hard to get a plot and after a few years we found out that it was occupied, then we went round the courts and finally we settled the case at a lower price and many times they are sued.
The Prime Minister also said that we thought that investment, technical skills and talent should be brought to Pakistan but unfortunately we could not provide that environment but we are trying to improve. There has been a record remittance in our time but it is only a drop, in fact they have an estimated 9 million Pakistanis out of the equivalent of Pakistan's GDP, we did our best to figure out how to bring it and For this, corruption must be eradicated. The biggest obstacle to investment is corruption and those who are accustomed to working outside in a corruption free environment cannot work in a corrupt environment, so we are trying to make it easier.
The Prime Minister also said that what we are seeing is Pakistan rising and then the improvement will be sustainable, otherwise we have to go to the IMF every time there is an increase in imports and we go down. If our plan is successful, Pakistan will move towards sustainable growth and at the same time we will facilitate our Pakistanis abroad and they should not be afraid that their property will be seized.
