Afghanistan women protest

Human rights activists in the Afghan capital, Kabul, demonstrated against the Taliban on Tuesday.

The women in the demonstration were demanding equal rights and equality in the political process.

Interestingly, for the first time in history, there was a demonstration against them during the Taliban regime, and Taliban fighters stood up for the safety of the women participating in the demonstration.

It should be noted that after the return of the Taliban to power, human rights activists around the world had expressed concern that the Taliban would close the doors of employment and education to women, as they did in the past. The process has allayed these concerns.

Taliban spokesman Sohail Shaheen says there are no restrictions on women studying and working and they can continue their daily lives with the sharia veil.
