Turkish President calls the Prime Minister to discuss the rapidly changing situation in Afghanistan
Prime Minister Imran Khan was telephoned by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the rapidly changing situation in Afghanistan.
According to a statement issued from the Prime Minister's House, during a telephone conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that they were cooperating in the evacuation of international diplomatic personnel from Afghanistan and would review the situation in Afghanistan at a meeting of the National Security Council.
According to the statement, the two leaders will discuss the situation again after the National Security Council meeting.
During his talks with the Turkish President, Prime Minister Imran Khan also reiterated his commitment to continue efforts for a political solution to the Afghan conflict.
