A 7.2 magnitude earthquake shook Jamaica, the PCB said in a statement
A magnitude 7.2 earthquake has shaken the West Indies island of Jamaica.
The epicenter was reported at 7.2 on the Richter scale, according to the US Geological Survey.
No immediate reports of injuries or severe damage were reported, and authorities in Jamaica called on citizens to be cautious.
After further analysis the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has updated their information on the earthquake from a 7.0 to 7.2 magnitude & they say it happened on land as opposed to by the northern coast of the western Haiti peninsula. Jamaica also has a national cricket team currently playing the first match of a two-day Test series.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Cricket Board, all the players and support staff of the national team are well.
A PCB spokesperson said that the third day of the first Test between Pakistan and West Indies would start on time.Thankfully, our men's side are safe and sound after this morning’s earthquake in Jamaica and are ready for the third day of the ongoing Test, which will start on time.
