Dubai: Pakistani cricketers are still far from the top 10 positions in the Test rankings, while Babar Azam is 11th.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Test and T20 rankings at the end of the Bangladesh-Australia series and the first match between England and India. No. 11, Azhar Ali moved up one place to 17th due to the decline of Chattiswar Pujara.

English captain Joe Root, who scored a century at Trent Bridge, snatched the fourth position from his Indian counterpart Virat Kohli, Ken Williamson's number one. Returning, James Anderson moved up one place to seventh, Oli Robinson moved up 22 places to 46th, Pete Cummins topped the list.

On the other hand, there is no threat to Babar Azam's second position in the shortest format at the moment, Mohammad Rizwan is also at number seven. Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan once again became the top all-rounder thanks to his excellent performance in the short format home series from Australia. The last time he held the position was in October 2017. After a three-step promotion, Shakib became the 53rd batsman.

A six-point improvement in the bowlers moved them to 12th position, with Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh moving up four places to 21st in the batting order, and left-arm spinner Ashton Egger moving up one place to seventh.
