One Health plan is being launched, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid
Provincial Health Minister Dr Rashid says that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, a "One Health" project is being launched in Punjab.
According to details, Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has participated in an awareness seminar at Fatima Jinnah Medical University as a special guest.
She said that the main objective of conducting awareness seminar today was to create awareness in the society about "One Health". Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar would also be recommended to set up a task force on the topic of "One Health".
Dr. Rashid said that health is a thousand blessings, diet is always better than treatment.
She said that the "One Health" project could not be made a success without the efforts of all the concerned departments. ۔
She further said that according to statistics, many deaths in Punjab are due to dog bites. Vaccines are available in large quantities in every district headquarters, hospital and rural health center in Punjab.
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid further said that we have to pay attention to human health as well as animal and environmental health as the concept of human, animal and environmental health is very old.
"There are more water-borne diseases in our society," She said.
She also said that smog has become a regular season in Pakistan, smog affects the human lungs a lot.
She said that during the next two years, 95% of the children of Punjab would be protected from dangerous diseases while development was taking place in the health sector in Punjab.
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid also said that the NCOC has a pivotal role to play in preventing coronavirus in Pakistan, especially in Punjab, and sending vaccinations to the maximum population.
It may be mentioned that Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Sara Aslam, Secretary Health South Punjab Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Prof. Dr. Aamir Zaman Khan, Chairman PHA Lahore Engineer Yasir Gilani, Director PSP and Dr. Rashgupta Zarrin, Prof. Javed Chaudhry were present on the occasion. , Dr. Zahida Sarwar, representatives of the World Health Organization and USAID, representatives of the Department of Food, Environment and other related departments, as well as faculty members.
